Wolmanized Outdoor Wood

Wolmanized® Residential Outdoor® Wood provides the natural beauty of wood, can be painted or stained and is treated to withstand termites and fungal decay for decades. It is more economical than cedar or durable grades of redwood and plastic composites and is made from renewable resources, reducing demands on our forests.

Wolmanized Heavy Duty Wood

Wolmanized® Heavy Duty™ Wood is pressure treated with CCA, a mixture of oxides of copper, chromium and arsenate, to provide protection from termites and fungal decay in conditions and applications that are in contact with water, soil, concrete or masonry, subject to periodic wetting or exposure to moisture and high humidity.

A material safety data sheet (MSDS), safety data sheet (SDS),[1] or product safety data sheet (PSDS) is an important component of product stewardship and occupational safety and health. It is intended to provide workers and emergency personnel with procedures for handling or working with that substance in a safe manner, and includes information such as physical data (melting point, boiling point, flash point, etc.), toxicity, health effects, first aid, reactivity, storage, disposal, protective equipment, and spill-handling procedures. MSDS formats can vary from source to source within a country depending on national requirements.

Recommendations for the Design and Operation of Wood Preservation Facilities, 2013 Technical Recommendations Document
In 1984, Environment Canada, as part of a federal strategy to protect the environment and human health from potentially toxic commercial chemicals, evaluated use practices within the wood preservation industry. The Department subsequently initiated a technical steering committee to develop technical recommendations for facility design and operations.
